1991年（平成3年）に開業した大規模ディスコ 『ジュリアナ東京』（東京・芝浦）ではメインDJを務め、同店名を冠したコンピレーション・アルバム（avex trax）にも出演。プレイ中に店名を独特の中音の声で叫ぶ様子が特徴であった。1994年（平成6年）に同店が閉店すると、同年末に開店した同じく大規模ディスコ『ヴェルファーレ』（東京・六本木）のDJとなり、同店の運営にも参加するようになった。

John has sold millions of albums in Japan and Asia, both as a recording artist and DJ Producer/Remixer.

He has worked with a diverse range of artists on an equally diverse range of projects. Superstar DJ's Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren & Ferry Corsten are just a few who had guest performances at his legendary Planet Love After Hours events in Tokyo.

John has also created music for a large number of corporate clients for use in their TV Commercials - including IBM, Kenwood, Dunlop & Coca Cola.

He has twice performed at Tokyo Dome and is a familiar face on TV in both Japan & the Philippines.

In addition to Japanese Network TV, John has hosted his own dance music show for MTV Japan & the Top 40 countdown for syndicated radio in Japan.
